A garden handed over in April is a different garden in November. We return for pruning, joints, oil and water level — not to cut a weekly stripe into the lawn.

Maintenance follows the light, not the calendar in the kitchen.
Turn the plot through the seasons. Colour, shade and work shift with it.
Spring
Light returns. The ground is cold and often too wet to load.
Cut back ornamental grass, feed borders, check fall after frost, first mow of play lawn.
Bulbs, serviceberry, fresh leaf on the multi-stem.
Pruning, joints, oil, feed and water level. Four seasonal visits or a fixed number of days — not a weekly show mow. Seasonal appointments, recorded on the same sheet as the design.
